Wakiso to Host National Launch of Measles-Rubella Mass Immunization Campaign.

The district will host the National Launch of the Measles-Rubella Mass Immunization Campaign on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at Wakiso Health Centre IV.
The campaign targets all children aged 9–59 months. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to take eligible children for vaccination during the campaign period.
The measles-rubella vaccine is safe, effective and free, and provides protection against measles and rubella.
The national launch will be graced by Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, Minister of Health, as Chief Guest.
The campaign is part of efforts to strengthen immunization coverage and protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases. Parents and caregivers across Wakiso are encouraged to play their part by ensuring that eligible children receive the vaccine.
