Councillors Urged to Strengthen Collaboration for Effective Service Delivery

Councillors have been urged to strengthen collaboration between political leadership and technocrats as they work to advance service delivery and development in the district.

The call was made during a benchmarking tour of Hoima City Stadium, where the councillors were taken through City’s experience in developing and managing the facility.

The Assistant Town Clerk Hoima City, Mr. Lwanga Edward, guided the delegation around the facility, attributed the city’s achievements in developing and managing the stadium to effective teamwork between political leaders and technocrats.

He encouraged the councillors to embrace a similar approach and strengthen their lobbying efforts for the district, noting that although the district is large, coordinated efforts by its leaders can contribute to greater development.

Meanwhile, the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Jude Mark Bukenya, described the three-day induction in Hoima City as successful.

Bukenya urged the councillors to respect one another, work together and maintain a strong working relationship with technocrats in pursuit of a common development agenda for the district.
