Wakiso District Unveils Children’s Manifesto 2026–2031

Wakiso District has launched the Children’s Manifesto 2026–2031, a five-year framework capturing the priorities and aspirations of children across the district. Unveiled by District Vice Chairperson Betinah Nantege, the Manifesto calls for greater child participation in decision-making, improved health and well-being, more safe spaces for play, and a cleaner, greener environment. The development of the Manifesto was supported by @Save the Children.

Save the Children’s Program Officer, Phillip Mande, urged district leaders, schools, and development partners to use the Manifesto as a key advocacy tool to guide planning and strengthen efforts to promote children’s rights and well-being across Wakiso.
