Wakiso Council approves 4.6 supplementary budget.

Wakiso District Council unanimously passed supplementary estimates of 4,662,655,053 to cater for development projects and activities in the District.
The Secretary for Finance Betina Nantege also Vice Chairperson said the sum comprises 4,581,769,555 for micro scale irrigation project under Production department which was unspent for Financial year 2022/2023.
41,151,824 will cater for institutional support to Women structures, 33,099,928 for institutional support for Youth Livelihood program and UWEP and 6,633,746 for Health.
The Council chaired by Nasif Najja also resolved to forward the issue of Miraa to Parliament for review so that the people dealing in its production and export are considered.
