Wakiso District road worth 514 million was on Thursday 24/11/2022 commissioned by the Resident District Commissioner, Justine Mbabazi, in Wakiso Town. The District Land board paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Administrative Officer Alfred Malinga. They discussed issues relating to the operations and challenges faced by the board. The board was led by its Chairperson Dr. Ddungu Livingstone, other members include Nakabugo Nuliat, Kabuye Stephen,Naiga Jane and J.B Balikuddembe Mutebi. The District Chairperson Wakiso Dr. Matia Lwanga Bwanika has issued a warning to wetland encroachers in Gobero wetland in Kakiri sub-county to vacate the wetland. Bwanika who was on a joint inspection with the District Executive and Natural Resources department gave the encroachers one a period of one month to harvest their produce and vacate the wetland.
