The District Chairperson monitored the micro scale irrigation demonstration site for the micro scale irrigation program at Mende Kalema Memorial Secondary school in Mende subcounty Wakiso District. He advised farmers to stop the dependence on seasons for rains but adopt micro scale irrigation technology for food security. The Sprinkler and Drip Irrigation methods are the two major types of irrigation used on this site.

Wakiso Council approves 4.6 supplementary budget.

Wakiso District Council unanimously passed supplementary estimates of 4,662,655,053 to cater for development projects and activities in the District.
