The Health, Education and Social Services Committee monitoring Health Services delivery in the District.

The HESS committee led by the Chairperson Hon. Kalyoowa Nasifu Dauda and the Secretary for Health on 17th June, 2022, monitored Health facilities in the District to assess the delivery Health service delivery in the District. The Heath facilities visited include; Wakiso HCIV, Kakiri HC III, Wakiso Epicenter and Bira HC III.

In a council meeting held at the district headquarters chaired by the Speaker Hon. Najja Nasifu a budget worth 110,674,230,000 Shillings has been approved for the financial year 2022/2023. A summary of anticipated revenue is (a). local revenue 18,134,594,000 (b). Central government transfers 75,767,848,000 (c). Other government transfers 14,345,901,000 (d). Uganda Coffee Development Authority donates 2632 bags of fertilizers to Coffee Farmers in Wakiso District.

Uganda Coffee Development Authority has donated 2632 bags of fertilizers to coffee farmers in Wakiso District. The District Production Officer Lubuulwa Micheal and the Regional coffee extension Officer Uganda Coffee Development Authority Winnifred Nakirya handed today handed over the fertilizers today to coffee farmers from Wakiso sub county at the District Demonstration garden. Nakirya said this is part of UCDA’s program of rehabilitation of old coffee trees which where no longer productive.
