Makerere University School of Public Health finalizes a research about the prevalence of Metabolic Syndrome among female s of reproductive age in Wakiso District
A study carried out by the school of Public Health Makerere University about the prevalence of metabolic syndrome and associated risk factors among females of reproductive age between 15- 49 years in Wakiso revealed that 5.3 percent of women were overweight While 11.9 percent of women were obese in the District are at risk of acquiring metabolic syndrome and associated risk factors.
