Stakeholders from across the district convened for a consultative engagement to contribute to the development of the District Communication Strategy (2026–2030). The meeting brought together district leaders, technical officers, community representatives, civil society organizations, development partners, media practitioners, and citizens to identify key communication needs, challenges, and opportunities that will inform the strategy.
Speaking during the workshop, Nakalembe Prossy the district senior communication officer emphasized the importance of inclusive stakeholder participation in developing a communication framework that effectively responds to the needs of the district and its residents.
Officiating at the engagement, the Deputy Chief administrative officer Godfrey Kiiza Rwakijuma noted that the Communication Strategy will provide a clear roadmap for how the district communicates with the public, enhancing service delivery, transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.
The strategy, being developed by Ultimate Media Consult Limited, is expected to strengthen institutional communication systems, improve stakeholder participation, leverage digital communication platforms, and promote timely and effective dissemination of information across the district over the next five years.
Once finalized, the strategy will guide the district’s communication efforts and strengthen engagement with stakeholders and citizens in support of improved governance and service delivery.
