Wakiso District has held an Inception meeting for the District political and technical leadership aimed at supporting HIV services by Infectious Diseases Institute

An inception meeting for the District political and technical leadership aimed at supporting HIV services by Infectious Diseases Institute has been held.
The five year project costing $20m annually for the Districts of Wakiso and Masaka is supported by centre for Disease control.
Over 75 Health facilities in Wakiso including 75000 people living with HIV, 31,244 girls under the Dreams project will be supported.
Among the activities to be supported include: Laboratory services, voluntary male circumcision, HIV Testing, care and treatment, key populations, supply chain and logistics.

In a bid to support HIV services in Wakiso District.Infectious Diseases Institute has today donated an assortment of items to 14 Health facilities in the District.
The items which were handed over to the District leadership included examination couches,metric benches,filing cabinets and office tables among others.
Hard to reach health facilities of Busi and Zinga are among the beneficiaries.
