WAKISO CENSUS UPDATES
The Minister of State for Finance Planning and Economic Development, Henry Musasizi, has been enumerated in the on going National housing and population census in Uganda.
The enumeration exercise was conducted this morning at his residence in Budanyeri Cell, Ssisa Parish Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso district by the Assistant Census Officer Ivan Kitonsa.
The Chief Administrative Officer Alfred Malinga Wakiso witnessed the exercise.
Musasizi appealed to all Ugandans on behalf of the Ministry to ensure that they are counted for planning purposes. The Census exercise that started last night will last for a duration of 10 days.
Census is conducted every after 10 years, the last one conducted being in 2014.
The census figures play a critical role in guiding planning, policy formulation, and programme implementation as well as monitoring development progress in line with the national goals and objectives.
The census exercise will use digital technology to collect, process and disseminate census results.
The findings from the census are expected to play a pivotal role in planning, guiding policies, and allocating resources to meet the needs of the population.
