ROTARY, BULAMU HEALTH CARE DONATE VITAL SIGNS EQUIPMENT TO WAKISO DISTRICT.
The Rotary club of Kampala Naguru and Bulamu Health care have donated vital signs equipment to Wakiso District to help in disease prevention and treatment.
While handing over the equipment to the district officials yesterday the Rotary District Governor of Uganda Hon. Dr. Mike Kennedy Sebalu said that it was vital for treatment of patients in Wakiso to be evidence based not by gambling.
Sebalu added that Wakiso was prioritized since it’s the most densely populated District in the country with highest number of health facilities.
A total of 24 Health Centre IIIs received Digital Blood pressure machines, Manual Blood pressure machines, weighing scales, Glucometers, digital thermometers, Height boards, weighing scales, stethoscope, pulse-odometer, glucose strips, infrared thermometers among others.
The Vice Chairperson Wakiso Nantege Betina expressed gratitude to Bulamu Health Care and Rotary club of Kampala Naguru for the support extended to the district.
She was Optimistic that the vital signs equipment received will help the population to know if there is a potential health problem and steps to be taken to prevent them.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Alfred Byamukama commended Bulamu Health care for being good ambassadors in health care and also bringing good partners like Rotary to support the district health care system.
This follows a donation of $91,500 from Rotary International and Rotary clubs of Rotary clubs in California and Kampala Naguru in Uganda.
