In a council meeting held at the district headquarters chaired by the Speaker Hon. Najja Nasifu a budget worth 110,674,230,000 Shillings has been approved for the financial year 2022/2023.

Senior Communications Officer Wakiso District L. G.
Uganda Coffee Development Authority has donated 2632 bags of fertilizers to coffee farmers in Wakiso District. The District Production Officer Lubuulwa Micheal and the Regional coffee extension Officer Uganda Coffee Development Authority Winnifred Nakirya handed today handed over the fertilizers today to coffee farmers from Wakiso sub county at the District Demonstration garden. Nakirya said this is part of UCDA’s program of rehabilitation of old coffee trees which where no longer productive.
In a bid to improve health service delivery in the District, Wakiso Health Department has held it’s Annual Health Assembly for the financial year 2021/2022 under the theme “Building a fairer and healthier Wakiso for everyone” at Nican Resort Seguku in Makindye Municipality.
The District Health Officer Dr.Lugoolobi Mathias said the major objective of the Health Assembly is to review the District general performance for the financial year 2021/2022 and also identify the key challenges in health service delivery and propose possible solutions.

Matia Lwanga Bwanika called upon leaders to find last solutions to health problems in the District.
He commended implementing partners like Save the Children, MildMay, UNICEF and Pace for supporting the District Health Initiatives.
The District Chairperson together with the Chief Administrative Officer Wakiso with deep sorrow announce the untimely death of their staff Mpiima Juma
Mpima has been a Vector Control Officer and a Senior District Heath Team Member who has worked with Wakiso District since its inception in 2001. He served as a Malaria Focal Person, Village Heath Team focal person and a Desk Officer for Public Private Partnership for Health (PPPH). He has been a Board Member of Kisubi Hospital.
His unique skills, leadership style and epitome of knowledge helped many health staff to be established in Wakiso. We will surely miss him. May the lord receive him in Glory.
Burial will be held today Saturday 30/04/2022 at Kiwenda Busukuma at 2pm.
