Government has equipped Local Government Communication Officers with laptops to enhance timely, accurate, and effective public communication. Speaking at the handover, Permanent Secretary Ben Kumumanya emphasized the importance of proactive information sharing, urging officers to effectively communicate government programmes, highlight service delivery initiatives, and widely publicize local government job opportunities. He noted that improved communication will help bridge information gaps, address unemployment, and ensure vacant positions are filled efficiently.
