Deputy Chief Administrative Officer Launches Monitoring of Government Projects in Kakiri Town Council.
The Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of W, Godfrey Kiiza Rwakijuma, has launched a district-wide monitoring exercise of government projects, starting with Kakiri Town Council.
The tour focused on key infrastructure and service delivery initiatives, including ongoing works at St. Pius Primary School for the 2024/2025 financial year, such as staff quarters, teachers’ houses, and five-stance latrines aimed at improving learning conditions and staff welfare.
Rwakijuma also assessed road upgrades, including Nakyerongoosa Roads and the 1.2km Makokobe–Lusanja road, to improve connectivity, and inspected Kakiri Daily Market, a vital hub for local trade.
Under the Parish Development Model (PDM), funds have been disbursed to beneficiaries across most sub-parishes to support poverty eradication and household income generation.
Speaking during the exercise, Rwakijuma emphasized transparency, accountability, and value for money, urging contractors to ensure timely project completion. The monitoring exercise will continue across the district to strengthen service delivery and ensure effective use of public resources.
