Wakiso District Bids Farewell to Long-Serving District Health Officer, Dr. Emmanuel Mukisa
Wakiso District staff today bid farewell to longtime District Health Officer (DHO), Dr. Emmanuel Mukisa, who has retired after 25 years of dedicated service.
During a handover ceremony held at the District Headquarters, Dr. Mukisa officially transferred office to the newly appointed DHO, Mr. Mathias Lugolobi.
In his remarks, Dr. Mukisa urged his successor to foster strong teamwork and maintain a collaborative working relationship with the health department staff. He encouraged Mr. Lugolobi to “work well with the team and treat them as his own children” as he takes on the leadership role.
District leaders and staff commended Dr. Mukisa for his professionalism, commitment, and significant contribution to strengthening health service delivery in Wakiso. They thanked him for his exemplary service and wished him well in his retirement.
