Wakiso District Holds Budget Conference for FY 2026/2027 to Advance Service Delivery

The district has held its Budget Conference for the Financial Year 2026/2027 under the theme “Advancing Service Delivery for Effective Budget Strategy.”

The meeting reviewed the district’s budget performance, NGO contributions, and key priorities for the next financial year. Participants also discussed challenges affecting implementation to guide the formulation of the upcoming budget.

District Chairperson Dr. Matia Lwanga Bwanika commended development partners for their support in education and health but expressed concern over limited central government funding despite Wakiso’s strong contribution to the national budget. He urged leaders to serve with integrity and commitment.

Assistant RDC Ms. Angel Namulimbe called on government officials to ensure close monitoring of projects to prevent shoddy work and promote accountability.
