The Minister for Works and Transport Major Katumba Wamala together with Officials from Uganda National Roads Authority, on the  12th of Jan 2024, held a meeting with Wakiso District leaders to brief them about the upcoming construction of Mpigi Kasanje-Nakawuka-Nateete-Kisubi road. Water and sanitation sector updates. Planning and advocacy meeting for District and subcounty leaders at the District Headquarters. The District Water Officer Isaac Galabuzi revealed that the District water coverage stands at approximately 32% with rural areas covering 38% and urban areas 25% compared to National level of 66%. The District sanitation level is at 88.2% Busi subcounty has the lowest safe water coverage at 31% and latrine coverage at 25%.
